Ingredients
  

  • 2 ripe bananas mashed
  • ½ cup 115g unsalted butter (melted)
  • ¾ cup 150g sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cups 190g all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • Optional: ¼ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease your loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

Step 2: Mash the Bananas

  • In a large bowl, mash the bananas using a fork until smooth. A few small lumps are perfectly fine.

Step 3: Mix Wet Ingredients

  • Add melted butter to the mashed bananas and mix well. Then stir in sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.

Step 4: Combine Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using).

Step 5: Mix Batter

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

Step 6: Add Extras

  • Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if you like a little extra texture and flavor.

Step 7: Pour into Pan

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Step 8: Bake

  • Bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Step 9: Cool

  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
