Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Small cookie scoop or tablespoon
  • Freezer-safe container

Ingredients

For the Blueberry Swirl:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 –2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

For the Yogurt Base:

  • 2 cups thick plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 –2 tablespoons honey adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Add-Ins:

  • Chia seeds
  • Granola bits
  • Mini white chocolate chips

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Blueberry Swirl

  • In a small saucepan, combine blueberries, honey, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat for about 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • The berries will burst and release their juices. The mixture should thicken slightly and turn a deep purple color. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.

Step 2: Prepare the Yogurt Base

  • In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.

Step 3: Swirl the Blueberries

  • Once the blueberry mixture is cool, gently fold a few spoonfuls into the yogurt. Don’t fully mix it in—you want visible swirls.
  • That marbled effect is part of the charm.

Step 4: Portion the Bites

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Using a small scoop or spoon, drop dollops of the yogurt mixture onto the sheet. Leave a little space between each one.

Step 5: Freeze

  • Place the tray in the freezer for 2–3 hours, or until completely firm.

Step 6: Store

  • Transfer frozen bites to a freezer-safe container. Keep frozen until ready to enjoy.

Notes

  • Not cooling the blueberry mixture before swirling
  • Overmixing and losing the swirl effect
  • Using thin yogurt
  • Forgetting parchment paper
