Equipment

  • Food processor or high-speed blender
  • Rubber spatula
  • Serving bowl or shallow platter
  • Measuring cups and spoons.

Ingredients

For the Whipped Feta Base

  • 6 ounces feta cheese crumbled
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 small garlic clove optional, very finely minced
  • Black pepper to taste

For the Cranberry Topping

  • ¾ cup cranberry sauce homemade or store-bought

Optional Garnishes

  • Chopped pistachios or walnuts
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme
  • Drizzle of honey

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Whipped Feta

  • Add the feta cheese, cream cheese, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic (if using), and black pepper to a food processor. Blend until completely smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides as needed.
  • The texture should be light, fluffy, and spreadable. If it feels too thick, add a teaspoon of olive oil and blend again.

Step 2: Spread the Base

  • Spoon the whipped feta onto a serving plate or shallow bowl. Use the back of a spoon to spread it into a smooth layer, creating little swirls for texture.

Step 3: Add the Cranberry Layer

  • Spoon the cranberry sauce gently over the whipped feta. Don’t mix it in—this dip is all about layers.

Step 4: Garnish and Serve

  • Finish with chopped nuts, fresh herbs, or a light drizzle of honey if you like a touch of extra sweetness.
  • Serve immediately, or chill for 15–20 minutes before serving for a firmer texture.
