Equipment

  • A reliable Crock Pot / slow cooker (6-quart works best)
  • Sharp knife for slicing kielbasa
  • Cutting board
  • Mixing bowl and spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds frozen pierogis potato & cheese
  • 1 pound smoked kielbasa sliced into coins
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prep your slow cooker. Spray cooking oil on the inside.
  • Mix the sauce. Combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Layer it up. Next, add a layer of pierogis, then slices of kielbasa, then a sprinkle of cheese. Keep on until you have exhausted the stuff.
  • Pour the sauce. Pour your creamy sauce on top and cover it.
  • Cook it slow. Make and cook low and cover with 4-5 hours or till heated through and bubbling.
  • Garnish and serve. Sprinkle with fresh parsley, serve hot, and you will see everyone go back to take more than once.
