Equipment

  • Large skillet or non-stick frying pan
  • Spatula
  • Mixing bowls
  • Measuring cups and spoons.
  • Cheese grater if shredding your own cheese
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Paper towels for draining beef, optional

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or 2 tbsp homemade seasoning blend
  • 6 large flour tortillas (10–12 inches)
  • 6 small tostada shells
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced onions optional
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro optional
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil for frying/toasting

Instructions

Cook the Beef

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add your ground beef. Break it apart with a spatula, letting it sizzle and brown. Drain excess fat, stir in taco seasoning for savory flavor.

Prep the Toppings

  • Wash and shred lettuce, dice tomatoes, onions, and cilantro if using. Grate your cheeses if needed. Fresh ingredients ensure each Crunchwrap Supreme is colorful and flavorful.

Assemble the Wraps

  • Lay a large flour tortilla flat. Layer beef, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, and tostada shell. Fold edges up and pleat neatly to form a hexagonal shape, keeping all fillings inside.

Toast to Perfection

  • Heat a skillet over medium and add a bit of oil. Place folded Crunchwrap seam-side down. Press lightly and cook until golden and crispy, about 2–3 minutes per side, flipping carefully.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Remove the Crunchwrap Supreme and let it cool briefly. Slice in half to reveal layers. Serve with extra sour cream or salsa. Each bite delivers crispy, creamy, and savory satisfaction.

Notes

  • Warm tortillas for easier folding
  • Do not add tostada too early to avoid sogginess
  • Mix cheeses for creaminess and meltiness
  • Try adding black beans, peppers, or avocado for variation
  • Assemble in advance and toast just before serving for best texture
