Equipment

  • Large mixing bowls
  • Whisk
  • Non-stick skillet or griddle
  • Measuring cups and spoons.
  • Spatula
  • Cooling rack (optional)

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbs. granulated sugar.
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups buttermilk shake it beforehand
  • 1/4 cup of butter melted (and additional butter to grease the pan)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract.

Add-Ins (customize your experience):

  • A handful of blueberries
  • Chocolate chips
  • A sprinkle of cinnamon
  • Lemon zest for brightness

Instructions

Step 1. Mix the dry ingredients.

  • Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a big bowl. You desire the mixture to be uniform and light.

Step 2. Whisk the wet ingredients.

  • In a second bowl, combine eggs, buttermilk, melted butter and vanilla until smooth and slightly frothy. You pancake lift! That foaming!

Step 3. Combine gently.

  • Add the dry mixture to the wet. Stir until mixed with a spatula. This batter must be lumpy,-- and that is all. Overmixing the pancakes can cause them to be tough; therefore, do not be tempted to make them smooth.

Step 4. Preheat your skillet.

  • Place a non-stick griddle or skillet on medium heat. You desire it to be hot so that when a drop of water falls, it sizzles immediately without dancing. Coat slightly using butter or oil.

Step 5. Pour the batter.

  • Measure 1/4 cup of pancake mix to make equally sized round ones. Add to a skillet and allow it to diffuse.

Step 6. Wait for bubbles.

  • When small bubbles begin to appear on the surface and the edges begin to appear set, then it is time to turn it over. Normally, it takes 2-3 minutes. Turn and cook 1 more and 2 minutes until golden.

Step 7. Serve hot.

  • Arrange them into a pile, pour a pat of butter into it, and drizzle it with warm maple syrup. And there is your ideal recipe for your First Watch pancake.
