Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Measuring spoons
  • Small airtight jar or container
  • Spatula (optional but helps every last bit of sauce make it into the jar)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp sugar balances the smoky flavor
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
  • Optional: ½ tsp hot sauce for a mild kick
  • Optional: pinch of salt taste first

Instructions

  • Add the mayonnaise to a medium mixing bowl.
  • Stir in the mustard, garlic powder, smoked paprika, sugar, Worcestershire, onion powder, pepper, and lemon juice.
  • Whisk until completely smooth and evenly blended.
  • Taste and adjust — more garlic for boldness, more sugar for balance, more lemon for brightness.
  • Chill at least 30 minutes to let the flavours settle and deepen.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
