Ingredients
  

  • 4 lobster tails 5–6 oz each
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Optional serving additions:

  • Lemon wedges
  • Extra melted butter for dipping

Instructions
 

Step 1: Preheat the oven

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.

Step 2: Prepare the lobster tails

  • Using kitchen shears, carefully cut through the top of the lobster shell lengthwise. Stop just before the tail fin.
  • Gently pull the lobster meat upward so it rests on top of the shell. This technique is called butterflying and helps the lobster cook evenly.

Step 3: Make the garlic butter

  • In a small bowl combine:
  • melted butter
  • minced garlic
  • lemon juice
  • lemon zest
  • parsley
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • Mix until well combined.

Step 4: Brush the lobster

  • Place the lobster tails on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush the garlic butter generously over the lobster meat. Drizzle a little olive oil over the top to help it brown slightly.

Step 5: Bake the lobster

  • Bake the lobster tails for 10–12 minutes until the meat turns opaque and tender.
  • The internal temperature should reach 140°F (60°C).

Step 6: Broil for color

  • If desired, broil the lobster for 1–2 minutes at the end to create a slightly golden top.

Step 7: Serve immediately

  • Remove from the oven and serve warm with lemon wedges and extra melted butter.
