For the Dough:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast 1 packet
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning oregano, basil, thyme blend
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup warm water about 110°F / 43°C
For the Topping:
- 1 to 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning extra for topping
- 1 tablespoon melted butter optional, for brushing
Step 1: Activate the Yeast
In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. This tells you the yeast is alive and ready.
Step 2: Mix the Dough
In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
