- 1½ pounds Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
- 3 tablespoons Olive oil
- ¾ teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black pepper
- 4 slices chopped Bacon
- ½ cup Yellow onion finely diced
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
- 1½ tablespoons Soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- ¼ teaspoon Red pepper flakes optional
- Fresh parsley for garnish optional
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Add the halved Brussels sprouts to a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
Spread the Brussels sprouts cut-side down on the baking sheet. Roast for 25–30 minutes until deeply golden and crispy on the edges.
While the sprouts roast, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped bacon and cook until crisp.
Remove excess bacon fat, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the pan.
Add the diced onion and cook until soft and lightly golden. Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
Add brown sugar, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, honey, and red pepper flakes. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Add the roasted Brussels sprouts to the skillet and toss until well coated.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
