Ingredients
  

  • 4 ounces silver tequila
  • 4 ounces watermelon liqueur or watermelon juice for a lighter version
  • 2 ounces fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder Tajín works great
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wedges for rimming

Instructions
 

  • Start by preparing the rims. On a small plate, mix the sugar and chili powder. Cut a lime wedge and run it around the rim of each shot glass. Dip the rim into the chili-sugar mixture and set aside.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the tequila, watermelon liqueur, and fresh lime juice. Shake well for about 15 seconds until chilled and slightly frothy.
  • Strain the mixture evenly into the prepared shot glasses. Serve immediately while cold.
