For the ice cream base:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
- Pinch of salt
Optional additions:
- 1 tablespoon cream cheese extra creaminess
- Splash of condensed milk sweeter finish
In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is fully dissolved.
Pour the mixture into the Ninja Creami pint container. Make sure it does not go above the max fill line.
Secure the lid and freeze on a flat surface for at least 12–24 hours, until completely solid.
Remove the pint from the freezer and place it into the Ninja Creami machine.
Select the Ice Cream function and allow the machine to spin.
If the texture looks crumbly after the first spin, add 1–2 tablespoons of milk and use the Re-spin function.
Scoop and enjoy immediately, or smooth the top and refreeze for later.
