Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Strainer
  • Jigger or measuring cups
  • Martini glasses
  • Small plate for rimming
  • Whisk (optional, for mixing cream)
  • Ice

Ingredients

For the Martini:

  • 2 oz vanilla vodka
  • 1 oz Kahlua or other coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz Bailey’s Irish Cream or any cream liqueur
  • 1 oz gingerbread syrup I’ll teach you how to make it from scratch, too
  • 1 oz heavy cream or half-and-half
  • Ice

For the Rim:

  • Crushed graham crackers or crushed ginger snap cookies
  • A little syrup or honey for sticking

Optional Add-Ons:

  • Whipped cream
  • Ground cinnamon sprinkle
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Caramel drizzle
  • Vanilla sugar

Instructions

Prep the Glass

  • Dip the rim of your martini glass in a little honey or syrup. Then gently press the rim into crushed graham crackers or cookie crumbs. Set aside.

Fill the Shaker

  • Add vanilla vodka, Kahlua, Bailey’s, gingerbread syrup, and heavy cream into your cocktail shaker. Add a generous handful of ice.

Shake Like You Mean It

  • Shake for at least 15 to 20 seconds. The goal is to chill the drink completely and mix the cream with the spirits until silky.

Strain Into Your Glass

  • Pour the cocktail into your prepared martini glass. It should come out creamy, smooth, and with a slight frothy top.

Dress It Up

  • Top with whipped cream if you want. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon, a tiny caramel drizzle, or a single cinnamon stick. Make it pretty.
