Equipment

  • Shot glasses (chilled if possible)
  • Cocktail shaker or small jar with a tight lid
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Small plate (for the rim)
  • Spoon or butter knife
  • Paper towel

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons caramel syrup or caramel liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons Irish cream liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons vodka optional, for a stronger shot
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream or milk
  • Salted peanuts finely crushed (for rimming)
  • Caramel sauce for rimming
  • Ice cubes

Instructions
 

Prepare the glasses first.

  • Drizzle a little caramel sauce onto a small plate. On another plate, spread out the crushed salted peanuts.

Rim the shot glasses.

  • Turn each glass upside down and dip the rim into the caramel sauce, then gently press it into the crushed peanuts. Set aside.

Mix the shot.

  • Add peanut butter, caramel syrup, Irish cream, vodka (if using), and cream into a cocktail shaker.

Add ice and shake.

  • Add a handful of ice cubes and shake vigorously for 20–30 seconds until smooth and well combined.

Strain and serve.

  • Strain into the prepared shot glasses and serve immediately.
