- 1 cup 240g creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup 113g unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup 150g brown sugar
- 1/4 cup 50g granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup 125g all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Brownie Swirl:
- 1/2 cup 113g unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup 150g granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup 40g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup 65g all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/4 cup chocolate chips for extra richness
Step 1: Preheat and Prepare
Step 2: Make the Peanut Butter Dough
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and peanut butter until smooth and creamy. Add brown sugar and granulated sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Set aside.
Step 3: Prepare the Brownie Batter
In a medium bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar together. Add cocoa powder and mix until smooth and glossy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract. Whisk again.
Stir in flour and salt. Mix until you have a thick, shiny brownie batter.
If using chocolate chips, fold them in gently.
Step 4: Create the Swirl
Scoop about one tablespoon of peanut butter dough and one teaspoon of brownie batter. Place them side by side on your baking tray.
Using a toothpick or the tip of a knife, gently swirl them together. Do not fully mix. You want visible streaks of both batters.
Repeat with remaining dough.
Step 5: Bake
Bake for 12–14 minutes. The edges should be lightly golden, and the centers should look slightly soft.
Do not overbake. They will continue to set as they cool.
