Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons.
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Rolling Pin
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Cookie cutters (bone-shaped or simple rounds)
  • Wire cooling rack

Ingredients

  • cups whole wheat flour or oat flour
  • ½ cup natural peanut butter xylitol-free
  • 1 cup unsalted chicken broth low sodium
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large egg

Optional add-ins:

  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
  • 1 tablespoon rolled oats

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Mix the Wet Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter, chicken broth, egg, and olive oil. Stir until smooth and well blended.

Step 3: Add the Dry Ingredients

  • Gradually add the flour to the wet mixture. Stir until a stiff dough forms. If the dough feels too dry, add a splash of broth.

Step 4: Roll and Cut

  • Lightly flour your surface. Roll out the dough to about ¼-inch thickness. Cut into shapes using cookie cutters.

Step 5: Bake

  • Place treats on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20–25 minutes until firm and lightly golden.

Step 6: Cool Completely

  • Transfer to a wire rack and let cool fully. The treats will continue to harden as they cool.
