Ingredients
  

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 24 slices pepperoni
  • 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese optional

  • mushrooms
  • crushed red pepper flakes

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Shred the mozzarella cheese if it is not already shredded, and slice any optional toppings you plan to add.
  • Having everything ready before cooking makes the process smooth and quick.

Step 2: Heat the Skillet

  • Place a large skillet on medium heat. Add about half a tablespoon of butter or olive oil and allow it to melt.
  • This step helps create that beautiful golden crispy tortilla.

Step 3: Assemble the Quesadilla

  • Lay one tortilla flat on the skillet. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over half of the tortilla.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce, then place several slices of pepperoni on top. Add a light sprinkle of garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  • If you love extra cheese like I do, feel free to add a little more.

Step 4: Fold and Cook

  • Fold the tortilla in half to close the quesadilla. Cook for about 2–3 minutes until the bottom becomes golden and crisp.
  • Carefully flip it using a spatula and cook the other side until the cheese melts completely.

Step 5: Slice and Serve

  • Transfer the quesadilla to a cutting board and allow it to cool for one minute. Slice into triangles using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  • Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
