Equipment

  • 9×13 baking dish
  • Serrated knife
  • Small saucepan
  • Pastry brush
  • Cutting board
  • Aluminum foil
  • Mixing bowl

Ingredients

For the Sliders

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 12 oz deli sliced roast beef
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

For the Butter Topping

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Rolls

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Using a serrated knife, slice the entire sheet of Hawaiian rolls horizontally without separating the individual rolls. Place the bottom half into a greased baking dish.

Step 2: Add the Sauce Layer

  • In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Spread this mixture evenly across the bottom layer of rolls. This adds flavor and helps keep the sliders moist.

Step 3: Layer the Roast Beef

  • Place the sliced roast beef evenly across the rolls. Make sure the beef covers the entire surface so every slider gets a generous portion.

Step 4: Add the Cheese

  • Lay the provolone cheese slices over the roast beef. The cheese will melt beautifully and hold the sliders together when baked.

Step 5: Add the Top Rolls

  • Place the top half of the Hawaiian rolls over the cheese layer.

Step 6: Make the Butter Topping

  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, poppy seeds, and dried parsley.
  • Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.

Step 7: Bake the Sliders

  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes until the tops become golden and slightly crispy.

Step 8: Serve

  • Let the sliders cool for about 5 minutes. Slice them into individual sandwiches and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use good quality deli roast beef for the best flavor.
  • Do not separate the rolls before assembling; this keeps everything neat and easy.
  • Cover with foil during the first part of baking so the cheese melts perfectly.
  • Brush extra butter mixture on the tops if you love extra flavor.
