- 1 ripe avocado peeled and pitted
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons buttermilk or regular milk
- 1 teaspoon lime juice fresh is best
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon dried dill
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley
- ¼ teaspoon salt or to taste
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon sugar optional, balances flavor
- 1 –2 teaspoons jalapeno juice or hot sauce optional, for heat
