Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons.
  • One jar or an airtight container.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard for depth
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar to make it sweeter
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar to add tanginess
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • Pinch cayenne pepper optional, to spice it up a bit
  • To taste salt and black pepper.

Instructions

  • Whisk together the mayonnaise, yellow mustard, and the Dijon mustard in a medium bowl.
  • Add the honey, vinegar, and apple cider. Repeat until mixed.
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne (Optional). Whisk until silky.
  • Give it a taste. Want it sweeter? Add more honey. Tangier? Another splash of vinegar. Spicier? You know what to do--more cayenne.
  • Put the sauce in a jar or container and refrigerate at least 30 minutes. This enables the blending of the flavors to that ideal blend.
  • You can eat it as a dipping sauce with fries or drizzle it on your next sandwich or spread it on your next burger.
