A blender or a food processor
Measuring cups and spoons.
A whisk (if mixing by hand)
A storing container, e.g., a mason jar or a bottle.
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning oregano, basil, thyme
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Pinch red pepper flakes optional
Prepare the base: Add the mayonnaise, olive oil, vinegar, and lemon juice in a blender or food processor and mix them until smooth and emulsified.
Add flavor: Add parmesan, garlic, sugar, Italian seasoning, parsley, salt, and pepper. Blend again until creamy.
Taste test: Add, remove, or change according to your preference- add more vinegar, more sugar, or more garlic depending on how much you like a punch.
Chill: Place in a jar, cover, and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving. This enables the flavors to blend.
Dress: pour over fresh salad greens in large amounts, apply as a breadstick dipping sauce, or even a marinade to chicken.
