Equipment

  • High-speed blender
  • Measuring cups
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Serving glasses
  • Straw or spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice or orange juice
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • Optional: 1/4 cup yogurt for creaminess

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Fruit

  • Wash and hull the strawberries, and peel the banana. As you slice the fruit, you’ll already start to notice that fresh, sweet aroma building.

Step 2: Add to Blender

  • Place strawberries, banana, and ice into the blender. The colors alone—deep red and creamy yellow—are so vibrant and inviting.

Step 3: Pour the Liquid Base

  • Add pineapple or orange juice. This not only helps everything blend smoothly but also infuses the drink with that signature tropical brightness.

Step 4: Blend Until Smooth

  • Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Pause and scrape down the sides if needed. You’re aiming for a thick, silky texture with no chunks.

Step 5: Adjust Flavor

  • Taste your smoothie. Add honey if you prefer it sweeter, or a touch of lime juice if you want a little zing. This step is where you make it truly your own.

Step 6: Serve Immediately

  • Pour into chilled glasses and serve right away. The color should be a beautiful pink, and the texture should be thick yet sippable.
