Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet or air fryer basket
  • Parchment paper or wire rack
  • Small saucepan
  • Tongs
  • Microplane or fine grater (for parmesan)

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings or chicken tenders
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic finely minced
  • ½ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Optional Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream for extra richness
  • Extra parmesan for topping
  • Red pepper flakes for a little heat

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Chicken

  • Pat the chicken completely dry—this is key for crispiness. Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder until evenly coated.

Step 2: Cook the Chicken

  • Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy. You can also air fry at 400°F for 18–22 minutes for extra crunch.

Step 3: Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce

  • In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter slowly. Add minced garlic and cook just until fragrant—about 30 seconds. You’re looking for aroma, not browning.

Step 4: Finish the Sauce

  • Remove from heat and stir in parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and optional cream. The sauce should be silky, glossy, and deeply aromatic.

Step 5: Toss the Chicken

  • Transfer hot, crispy chicken to a large bowl and pour the garlic parmesan sauce over the top. Toss gently until every piece is coated.

Step 6: Garnish and Serve

  • Finish with fresh parsley, extra parmesan, and a pinch of red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately while everything is warm and melty.
