Equipment

  • Blender or food processor
  • Mixing bowl
  • Silicone molds or ice cube trays
  • Measuring cups and spoons.
  • Freezer

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt unsweetened, no xylitol
  • ½ cup natural peanut butter xylitol-free
  • 1 ripe banana
  • ¼ cup water or unsweetened coconut water

Optional Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup blueberries
  • ¼ cup strawberries hulled
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin purée plain, not pie filling
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional, for adult dogs

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Ingredients

  • Peel the banana and gather all your ingredients. This is a good moment to double-check labels—especially peanut butter—to make sure everything is dog-safe.

Step 2: Blend Until Smooth

  • Add yogurt, peanut butter, banana, and liquid to a blender. Blend until completely smooth and creamy, with no chunks that could freeze unevenly.

Step 3: Add Optional Mix-Ins

  • If using berries or pumpkin, pulse them in briefly or stir them in for a bit of texture. The mixture should be thick but pourable.

Step 4: Fill the Molds

  • Carefully pour the mixture into silicone molds or ice cube trays. Tap gently on the counter to release air bubbles.

Step 5: Freeze Solid

  • Place the molds in the freezer and freeze for at least 3–4 hours, or until fully solid. Once frozen, pop them out and store in an airtight container.
