Aldi Pumpkin Pie Recipe

When you want to immediately feel cozy and fond and the odor of the holidays in your kitchen, make a pumpkin pie. And not any pumpkin pie but an Aldi Pumpkin Pie Recipe, that creamy, spicy slice of heaven that seems to be a warm fall afternoon in a flaky shell.

My initial attempt at baking this pumpkin pie with the Aldi ingredients involved was shocking by the ease of the process, as well as the mind-blowing quality of the outcome.

It confirms that you do not necessarily have to pay a lot of money to use fancy ingredients to bake something that is bakery-worthy. This pie is creamy, fragrant, and deeply delicious with pumpkin, counterbalanced by cinnamon, nutmeg, and that buttery crust that is impossible to resist.

What is Aldi Pumpkin Pie?

The Aldi Pumpkin Pie Recipe is a homemade copy of the traditional holiday favorite that is prepared with the help of the items that you can find in your neighborhood Aldi store.

It is a mixture of their fine pumpkin puree, high-fat evaporated milk, and a mixture of cozy spices all contained in flaky, pre-made crust, which bakes up golden and crunchy.

It is creamy and firm, sweet but not cloying, and with each bite, there is that ideal balance between the smooth pumpkin content and buttered crust.

For the same reason you have ever tasted the seasonal pumpkin pie offered by Aldi during Thanksgiving or Christmas, this copycat recipe will present the same warm taste right at your table.

The Story of My discovery of this.

This recipe was the first one I came across on a cold November afternoon when I was cooking a small Friendsgiving dinner. I was running on a very tight budget, had a lot of things to do, and a desire to have pumpkin pie, which would not fade away.

Therefore, I took some cans of pumpkin puree and some pantry ingredients at Aldi — because we all know Aldi is the secret of every home cook to getting great ingredients without the premium cost.

As the pie was taken out of the oven, the aroma in my kitchen was a combination of cinnamon, vanilla, and heaven. That first slice was magic. It was not a mere pie, but a comfort, and memories and autumn in one.

I have been cooking this recipe for the same year since then, and it has turned out to be one of my favorite desserts during holidays and even warm weekends.

Equipment List

Here you will not need any fancy. Only the essentials any housewife must have:

  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 medium bowl
  • Whisk or electric hand mixer
  • 9-inch pie dish
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Rubber spatula
  • Baking sheet (to receive any drips)

Ingredients

In the case of the Aldi Pumpkin Pie Recipe, the following is what will be required:

For the Filling:

  • 1 (15-ounce) Aldi Baker 100% pure pumpkin, Corner.
  • 3/4 cup Baker’s Corner granulated sugar.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large Golden eggs
  • Baker’s Corner evaporated milk (12 ounces) 1 can.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (Stonemill brand is also a good product)

For the Crust:

  • 1 9-inch ready-prepared pie crust (Bake House Creations)
  • (Or just make one yourself with flour, butter, and water – Aldi products are also ideal in that case)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crust

When working with a store-bought crust, allow it to warm at room temperature for 10-15 minutes. Gently put it into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges using your fingers or a fork to make it look homemade. Meanwhile, put it in the fridge and prepare the filling.

Step 2: Mix the Pumpkin Filling

Combine pumpkin puree, both sugars, and eggs in a large bowl and blend until smooth. Stir in the cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, clove,s and salt. Gradually add the evaporated milk and vanilla extract and stir until smooth and thoroughly mixed.

Step 3: Pour and Bake

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Pour pumpkin mixture into your prepared crust. Bake for a quarter of an hour, then lower the set point to 350 o C (175 o F) and bake an additional 40 to 45 minutes, or until the middle is just set and a knife inserted in the middle of it comes out clean.

Step 4: Cool and Chill

Allow the pie to rest on a wire rack for a period of 2 hours. The aroma is going to be very nerve-wrecking, but it is the necessary step that makes the filling set. To enhance the best taste, refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy

Cut, serve, and garnish with a dollop of whipped cream or a sprinkle of cinnamon. And that is it! — true perfection on a plate.

Flavor Notes: What Makes It Special.

The Aldi Pumpkin Pie Recipe is about balance. The sugaryness is not too much, and the pumpkin earthiness comes out. The cinnamon gives you a warmth, the nutmeg a biting bite, and the vanilla keeps it all together.

The crust remains crisp even when chilled, producing the ideal contrast of buttery flake and creamy filling. And the best part? It is the same bite as home, either with your morning coffee or at the end of the day with a snack.

Tips for the Best Pumpkin Pie

  • Don’t overbake. You should move the center a little when taking it out of the oven; it will become firmer as it cools down.
  • Spice it your way. Love more spice? Twist a pinch of cardamom or add extra cinnamon.
  • Homemade crust upgrade: Add a pinch of cinnamon and a teaspoon of sugar to your crust dough to add more flavor.
  • Serve cold or hot: Pie is delicious in either case. To add a homey feel, warm slices in the microwave oven by a duration of 10 seconds prior to eating.

Serving Ideas

There is not a lot required to impress with this pumpkin pie, though, should you feel the need to go the extra mile:

  • Spread homemade whipped cream on the top and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • Spread caramel sauce as a luxurious dessert.
  • Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and have the most comfortable treat.
  • Top with pecans or candied walnuts that are crushed.

Make-Ahead and Storage Tips

Aldi Pumpkin Pie Recipe can be pre-prepared!

  • Prepare in advance: Bake the pie overnight before serving it – it is, in fact, even better the next day.
  • Store: Store covered in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
  • Freeze: Fill in plastic wrap and freeze for no more than 2 months. Allow to thaw in the refrigerator and serve.

Why Aldi Ingredients are so Successful.

The quality of Aldi items of their own brand is surprisingly good. Their Baker Corners pumpkin puree is creamy and dense, not watery like others are. Their spices are aromatic, and the milk that evaporated gives it that old-fashioned custardy feeling that you want in an ideal pumpkin pie.

And all this at half the price. Thus, you are able to make a fantastic holiday dessert without the Christmas cash strain.

My Favorite Memory with this Pie

I prepare this pie every Thanksgiving morning prior to the event of setting the turkey into the oven. The aroma pervades the house, and all the people are bound to creep into the kitchen to have a quality control slice way before the dessert period.

Making a piece of warm bread has become a tradition of sorts, a cup of coffee, and a moment of silence before dinner is served.

That is the core of this Aldi Pumpkin Pie Recipe. It is not merely about the pie itself but rather about what it produces.

Final Thoughts

The Aldi Pumpkin Pie Recipe does not just represent a dessert. It is a lesson that tasty food does not have to be complicated or costly; it only takes love, warmth, and some pumpkin magic.

It can be made on Thanksgiving, an autumn night, or you simply need your house to smell marvelous, and this pie will never fail.

Now, take your whisk, preheat your oven, and prepare your new favorite holiday dessert – straight off your Aldi collection.
